Logistics Technology Alliance

Mobile Enterprise Systems joins Logistics Technology Alliance

Mobile Enterprise Systems is extremely pleased to announce the formation of the Logistics Technology Alliance (LTA), formed to provide the perfect marriage of logistics hardware and software and a flexible, end-to-end total systems solution.

This formal marketing arrangement between leading suppliers of Logistics IT will offer operations such as 3PLs, transport companies, shippers and retailers a one stop shop for a total logistics system solution.

The alliance combines state-of-the art supply chain software such as transport management systems, warehouse management system, ERP, asset tracking and more, linked to mobile computing, in-cab technology and wireless data capture systems. The LTA is not perceived as a ‘closed shop’ however, and members can also work with other solution partners.

Alliance members will combine marketing opportunities through shared exhibition stands and the publication of white papers. They will also be able to target a broader market and client size, from SME through to larger organisations.

Clients of the alliance have the assurance that all elements of system procurement will be handled professionally and competently, from specification through to implementation and beyond.

All mobile hardware has been thoroughly tested, from both a laboratory and field perspective, to ensure certified integration with the software offerings of alliance members. Real-time data capture technology can be added, to great effect, at multiple operational points within a supply chain. As a prime example, a diagram illustrating the integration and data flow between warehouse management and transport management systems can be viewed here

Commenting on the Logistics Technology Alliance, Lucy Colbourne, Marketing Manager said, “The partnership of these six companies, comprising some of the biggest names in supply chain solutions, will undoubtedly benefit prospective clients by offering a complete solution providing value for money with less overall implementation time due to the advanced interfaces between the systems and elements. Joining forces with the companies within LTA has created a team of experts with an extensive collective knowledge base and years of experience in providing systems for any industry sector.”

Mike Turner, Group Marketing Manager for Belgravium Ltd (and an LTA Founder Member) comments, “This is an exciting development for logistics operations seeking technology. Through the Logistics Technology Alliance each member company can act as prime contractor to offer its customers an end-to-end logistics IT solution. This means new and existing customers will enjoy easy access to other technologies required for their operations, thus saving much time and effort. Belgravium is proud to be partnering with companies that share a high service level ethos, which will ensure that we can deliver customer oriented solutions.”

Current membership of the Logistics Technology Alliance comprises some of the best regarded names in supply chain solutions provision and reflects their commitment to the provision of integrated solutions;
