Leading Northern Ireland Pastry Manufacturer Automates Van Sales Processes and Improves Customer Service with M-POS

McColgans Quality Foods is a family run, speciality sweet and savoury pastry manufacturer based in County Tyrone, Northern Ireland. Operating from state-of-the-art facilities in Strabane and focusing on a philosophy of offering high quality products combined with the very best in customer service, McColgans deliver their products direct to stores via their van sales team and to distribution centres across the UK and Ireland using a logistics team.

At the end of 2010, McColgans’ management identified a need to extend the high levels of professionalism and consistency of their production department into their customer services team. So they contacted Mobile Enterprise Systems for assistance due to the software company’s strong reputation within the food and drink distribution industry and their impressive customer base in Northern Ireland.

The team at Mobile Enterprise Systems were quickly able to demonstrate the multiple benefits that their mobile sales solution would bring to McColgans’ customer service department and to outline the return on investment that the system would deliver to McColgans.  

With the implementation of the M-POS mobile sales solution now complete and rolled out, McColgans are more effectively managing their van sales operation. With full integration to the business’s Sage 200 ERP system, M-POS has delivered significant cost reductions whilst maintaining consistency of service across the entire organisation. Previously labour intensive processes are now automated and complete operational visibility and sales performance transparency is available to McColgans’s management team at the touch of a button.
