Catchweight
If your goods are sold by weight then you'll appreciate the care that BelTek have taken to provide the highest levels of functionality in this area. From pricing by weight at point of sale to van stocktaking by weight and quantity, the system offers the utmost levels of stock management integrity. And whilst maintaining this high level of control the catchweight feature is simple and quick for your reps to use.
Catchweight at point of sale
The handheld software records the stock units sold, prompts the driver to enter the weight of the items sold (see Barcoding below) and calculates the invoice price based on the weight entered. The van stock is reduced by the quantity (and weight!) of units sold.
Catchweight variable sales units
The handheld software also supports variable sales units for catchweight items allowing weighted items to be sold by the box/case/brace or as individual items. Full accounting is then maintained at unit and weight level.
Barcoding
Of course, this whole process is simplified and made more accurate if all the relevant information is available as a barcode. The BelTek system supports barcoding up to EAN128 level.
