Integrated SatNav for Van Sales, Delivered Wholesale and Field Sales System
Mobile Enterprise Systems Ltd, the Bristol based specialist in mobile data capture systems, announces the availability of their mobile POD and field sales system with integrated TomTom satellite navigation. Now, their system not only enables users to automate their sales and delivery processes but will further aid productivity by offering reps and drivers turn-by-turn navigation from call to call.
Mobile Enterprise Systems has worked with some of the best known delivered wholesale and van sales companies in the market, implementing some of the largest handheld systems in the UK and Ireland in the process.
Jack Sane, director of Mobile Enterprise Systems says the company has been keen to offer an integrated satellite navigation tool for a while. ‘We have conducted many Return On Investment analysis projects over the years. These have always shown huge office-based savings from reduced paperwork, one-time data entry, error reduction, etc. But one area where further huge savings can be obtained is from reducing driver ‘lost time’ i.e. unproductive time spent by the fleet in deciding what route to take to calls, taking indirect routes, phoning customers and other drivers for directions, etc. This can be particularly costly with relief or casual drivers.’
‘Now all of that can be eliminated and even novice drivers made as productive as veterans with our integrated TomTom option. Drivers are presented with their call list on their handhelds as normal. Now, they simply tap the SatNav icon to be offered turn-by-turn driving instructions and maps from their current location to their next call; it couldn’t be simpler.’
Commenting on the launch of the new module, Kieran Graham, Sane’s colleague at Mobile Enterprise Systems stated; ‘just about every sales and delivery company in existence wants to eliminate expensive down time, whether it be from reducing the expensive paperwork and manual data entry processes generated by a sales organisation or making their fleets as efficient as possible.
